Did I have to disclose my personal health info to my employer. Up to the date of my fiances death I was coping well. Then everything went rock bottom.

Me again.  I was diagnosed with severe depression March 2011.  I was prescribed 4 different meds. I was improving but  On Aug 31 2011 my fiance had a massive heart attack and died in my arms.  This sent me spiralling downwards immediately.  I informed my employer about the death, asked about short term benefits to get no answer. I was told he wanted me back at work week of nov.7. We were both under the understanding this was a trial for me.  My doc note stated unable to work.  that was dated oct 10 2011.

needless to say I only worked 8.5 hrs. whereas i was scheduled 40.  On Friday nov.11 2011 I was terminated by email with no cause.  I was a complete basket case. still dealing with so much stuff that I didn't know how. funeral home, cremation, how could i keep the house and the vehicle as there was no life insurance. BASICALLY HOW AM I GOING TO LIVE AND SUPPORT MY DAUGHTER IN UNIVERSITY.  I became close to hospitalization worrying.
