separation marriage and visa immigration to Canada

I am planning to apply for Canadian Immigration for Skilled Worker Class from outside Canada, I am from Syria and now living in Qatar. I am confused about my marital status. I am separated from my spuse and we are now in the process of divorce in my home country Syria and we have no contact at all with each other. My questions are:

Should I include my spouse in the application? another question, should I include my spuse documents and pay fees for her with my application as it's not possible in my case and I don't want her to accompany me.

Is it better to wait until get divorce or I can apply right now as legally separated and update my marital status later once I get divorce?

Thanks a lot for your kind help and if you have any advices regarding this issue.
